To be brutally frank…
‘Wonder who coined the term ‘brutally frank’? How can being frank considered as brutal? Some will probably pegged it down as honest; sincere and candid. It’s like calling someone who is careful with money as thrifty or has a saving mind instead of stingy/ miserly. I suppose there are two sides of a coin for almost very term coined. On the downside, people might say you are abrupt; rude instead of the good ol’ word frank. If an issue is skirted around by not stating your mind frankly, then the issue is not resolved and most probably gives rise to more pain and hurt to any party involved. It’s probably better to be ‘frank’ to be kind. Kind of ironic but true. People who are ‘brutally frank’ at all times can be a pain in the butt as they either a)give his/her piece of mind and consequently get it off his/her mind or; b)oops! I did it again…
P/s: At least with these people, you know where you stand.
