So who’s winning?
I really disagree with the idea of ‘win-win’ situation. For example, if you play a game, it’s either you win or lose, right? But a colleague begged to differ. She said it’s a matter ‘you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours’ idea.
If she could put it that way, then I can come up with a couple of ‘win-win’ situations. For example if my students pay attention in class and I’m able to conduct my lesson smooth sailing, it’s surely a ‘win-win’ situation. Or when students do their homework and I get to know their mistakes, then it’s another ‘win-win’ situation. Ahh…what bliss.
The literal meaning of scratching a back is possible when a person has an itchy back and the back needs scratching. After that, it’s truly heaven.
